I came across 50 Tips to Unclutter Your Blog over at skelliewag. The post starts like this:

The 50 tips in this article will help you unclutter your sidebar, your footer, your posts, and your blog as a whole, and in doing so, enhance the simplicity and usability of your content-centered blog design.

My first thought was that my blog is nice and clean, no need to unclutter here. But I was wrong, after reading Skellie’s post I went and removed some of my widgets (Recent comments, Who linked here, Popularity contest). The widget for MyBlogLog is still here, I am a bit undecided about that one.

I had already removed the Meta links, I found that tip elsewhere a while back. I might move my blogroll to a page when it gets longer, for now it works in the sidebar. All in all, Skellie has written a post that made me both think and act.

By the way, Skellie has an offer, Get a Free Clutter-Busting Review of Your Blog or Website, that I will sign up for.

Update
I decided to move my links to a page instead and use a plugin by Dagon Design called Multi Column Link List Plugin for WordPress.

Update
Skellie has created a great post about usabilty, The Blog Usability Checklist.
