Dan Sweet has published an e-book titled The Job-Seeker’s Guide To Resume Search Optimization and the Internet-Age Resume. It is a long title but it says what this is all about.
What It’ll Show You How To Do: How To Upgrade Your Resume for the Internet-Age, Tap Into the “Hidden Job Market” and Get Employers To Find You.
Dan writes about the “hidden job market”, all those jobs that never are advertised. Employers use three ways to find candidates for these jobs:
- Networking, they ask around in their network.
- Internal databases, in other words previous applications.
- Searching, in job boards and internet in the general.
The book can not help you with number one and two but it gives you an advantage when they use number three, the search. Resume Search Optimization (RSO) will make your resume stand out in a crowd and that what counts.
The book is not of the “just add water”-type, there is work to be done and you have to do it yourself. But the book has step by step instructions and lead you all the way. Dan is so convinced the book will work for you that there is a “No questions asked”-guarantee. And you can take a peek, there are some free chapters.
I have read the book and I like it, it has changed the way I look at my resume (and others).
If you want to be ahead in the job search, go and buy the e-book.

Hi Bengt, One disadvantage to meeting new people on line is that I don’t get hear how your name is pronounced. I would love a phonetic spelling so that I am calling you the right thing when I read your name! That being said, thanks for visiting Interview Chatter and leaving a comment.
I love your tag line “Unlocking people’s potential”. As you said, it is what I am also created to do and I am going to do that. I like Dan Sweet, so I thought I would leave a comment here! He’s got good stuff on his blog as well. Make it a great day!!
