WordPress now has the tag function built in but still in a way that is not that user friendly. I have added two plugins to make my blogging life easier.
Click Tags makes setting tags a breeze. In the dashboard you get a set of tabs, one for each of your existing tags. Just click on the relevant ones and the post is tagged. You can of course also add new tags to a post.
Tag Functions gives me a widget that simply lists tags in a similar way to categories. I prefer that to a tag cloud.
