I run my blogs for two reasons: I love to write and I love to share knowledge. If my blogs also can make some people interested enough in me and my business to hire me as coach, consultant or writer that is a bonus.

Personally I am not keen for ads, I do not want any at my own blogs. And if a blog I visit has more ads than content above the fold (what is visible without scrolling) then I leave. If they are so keen to see me leave by clicking an ad then their content probably is not worth reading anyway.
